Blogging

Sometimes I think I take this whole blogging thing too seriously.
I have no idea what to blog about because they say an ideal blog has a fairly definite focus. I know of some excellent blogs which don't have that, but it's still easier to post something if you have some idea of what you're expected to post. There are some things you can't really blend together and my interests are all of those.
In addition, I'm having this creepy feeling that I'm losing my best posts before the ideas are even half-formed because my internal censor thinks they're not worthy of a blog post.
I could fall back on the old sarcastic approach to life, but that's gotten me into some very deep trouble too many times. I've lost a lot of friends as a result of the same scenario: I say something which I thought was very clearly sarcasm; they take offense and never speak to me again for the rest of their living days.
So I am left with memories of good times and people-watching. At least until I start touring with my future potential dance troupe/band and become famous.
However, in the meantime there might be something in writing down my childhood memories and my observations in people-watching...
Any thoughts from my readers?

Have you tried italicizing sarcasm or something? It might help clarify...

I never thought of that. But I'm thinking anyone who's not Internet-savvy wouldn't get it, and it would also mean I'd probably have to italicise everything I say. Now that I'm making an attempt to censor it out there's a least some actual seriousness on here -- if I let it go everything will be sarcastic and since I'm already so subtle with it that's a disastrous misunderstanding waiting to happen...
Thanks for the suggestion though; I'll have to keep that in mind. :-)

You could always change the title to "Sarcasm Italicized" or something. Then the mostly-italicized articles would just be funny...plus if you were writing a sarcasm blog, it'd give you an excuse to cram in as many sarcastic remarks as possible and since that's what you warned people to expect, they'll take it as sarcasm...actually, why am I telling you this?, I should be keeping this idea for myself! If you don't start a sarcasm blog, I might. ;)

I suppose that would be a possibility... and that's a good point...
You should though! Your sarcasm is probably more refined than mine (if there is a such thing...). I think where I run into trouble is that I'm sarcastic about my sarcasm sometimes. It's confusing.
